Head Lacrosse Coach (Spring 2027)

Head Lacrosse Coach needed for the spring season beginning March 15, 2027, and running through June 12, 2027. The Head Lacrosse Coach is responsible for collaborating in designing and implementing a comprehensive lacrosse program that is aligned with the overall mission of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and the Divine Savior Holy Angels Athletic Department. Must have the ability to run the entire program, teach skills, hire outstanding assistants, and form meaningful connections with players, families and the entire DSHA community. The Head Lacrosse coach is also responsible for organizing and staffing a Summer Cool camp to help promote the program and expose the sport to future dashers.  

The Head Lacrosse Coach reports to the Athletic Director and assists in all phases of the lacrosse season. Duties include, but are not limited to, cooperating with the Administrative Team and the Athletic Director in the overall development, promotion and growth of the entire athletic program, formulating season goals and communicating them to the Athletic Director, coaching staff and players, and keeping abreast of new knowledge, innovative ideas and techniques through attendance at clinics, workshops and publications in his/her field. Planning for the spring season will begin immediately upon hire.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Position requires a high school diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

It is expected that the successful candidate will have several years of coaching or playing experience, preferably at the varsity level. To succeed at the high school level, the Head Lacrosse Coach must understand the importance of education-based athletics, be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with young student athletes and their families and help create a coaching staff that will work well together and enlist their help to run a successful program.
