Job Summary:

The Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach is responsible for collaborating with the head coach in all aspects of the lacrosse program that is aligned with the overall mission of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and the Divine Savior Holy Angels Athletic Department. The Assistant Varsity Lacrosse coach must have the ability to teach skills, collaborate with the head coach, and form meaningful connections with players, families and the entire DSHA community. Planning for the spring season will begin immediately upon hire.

Season Dates:

March 15, 2027 – June 12, 2027 (Planning for the spring season will begin immediately upon hire.)

Responsibilities:

Reports to the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach and assists in all phases of the 2027 lacrosse season. Duties include, but are not limited to, cooperating with the Administrative Team and the Athletic Director in the overall development, promotion and growth of the entire athletic program, formulating season goals with the head coach and communicating them to the Athletic Director, coaching staff and players, and keeping abreast of new knowledge, innovative ideas and techniques through attendance at clinics, workshops and publications in his/her field.

Education and/or Experience:

Position requires a high school diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

It is expected that the successful candidate will have several years of coaching or playing experience, preferably at the varsity level. To succeed at the high school level, the Assistant Varsity Lacrosse coach must understand the importance of education-based athletics, be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with young student-athletes and their families and help create a coaching staff that will work well together and enlist their help to run a successful program.
